Do I have to log-in to find information?
Most of the information on this website is in the public domain and you do not need to be a PPTA member to access it.
All PPTA members can log-in to the website.
Why log-in: Logging in allows you to change your membership details, subscribe to mailing-lists, and access additional forums and member-only information such as the correspondence, minutes and agenda of committees, and contact details for groups. Member only access is especially important for policy setting and during collective agreement negotiations. You will be able to see material as it goes out to branches/regions and can have your say via comments and forums. If you want to know how to log-in please use the membership enquiry form. Search The easiest way to find published documents on the website is to use the "search documents form" on the resources page By logging in to the site you can search all documents, including the members only material, from the one search facility. Documents such as the PPTA support service guide are member only as this pamphlet contains contact details for support service volunteers (type support service in the Search keywords and use Search by exact phrase). To search the general web pages on the site use the search box Branch lists: If you are a branch chair you can access your branch lists via the website by logging in. Click on the Branch Groups link, your list is in alphabetical order by surname. If you scroll to the bottom of the page there is a drop down box labeled "Display Num" if you choose "All" from the drop down box you can then print your list from the web browser (File, Print) or copy and paste the list into another document. Checking and changing your PPTA membership detailsNote: If you change your email address on the PPTA website it also changes your email Username (if you use your email address to log-in). The PPTA membership system will also record the changed address as your preferred contact email address. Comments and forums:You can comment on articles, documents and the blog on this website. If you log-in your comments are not pre-moderated. However you can choose not to log-in to comment (visitor comments are moderated) - don't use your membership email address when commenting if you don't want to log-in. Some of the forums are in the public domain which means any visitor to the website can view your comments, others are member-only. More information about this website
