We’re told to beware of Greeks bearing gifts but that’s not much of a risk at the moment - the Greeks don’t have gifts for themselves, far less anyone else. Education in NZ has been given a suspicious package this week though, in the form of a $1 billion “Future Investment Fund”. The problem is the money in the fund is to be raised by burgling the taxpayers’ house and fencing the goods in New Zealand before hiding them overseas.
