PPTA Field officer vacancy - Auckland E-mail

 

The New Zealand Post Primary Teachers' Association / Te Wehengarua (PPTA) has a vacancy for a field officer in our Auckland office.

A permanent full-time Field Officer position will become available in 2012 in the Auckland office of the PPTA.

The appointee will work as part of a team of five Auckland-based field staff and will have responsibility for organising and providing services to members and branches in the areas served by that office.

Skill or experience in one or more of the following is sought: dispute resolution, advocacy, union organising, adult education.  Secondary teaching experience or knowledge of or a qualification in employment law is an advantage.  Applicants should list their strengths in their application.

Starting date to be determined by mutual agreement.

Salary will be within the range of salaries paid to secondary teachers.  A staff collective agreement covers conditions of employment.  The Association is an equal opportunities employer.
