(2009) Nga Manu Korero 2009 National Secondary School Speech Contests - Sponsored by the NZ Post Primary Teachers’ Association. This booklet contains background information about organising the 2009 speech contests. The contests are intended to encourage the development of skills and confidence of Māori students in spoken English and Māori.
(August 2009) CV for Ross McSwan. Ross McSwan is a Queensland barrister who has particular expertise in resolving contentious issues in a school environment. He practises in the area of mediation and lectures at Bond University and James Cook University at Masters level. Through Bond University and his private mediation firm, Mr McSwan offers a “Conflict in Schools” course. The Secondary Principals’ Council has invited Ross to New Zealand in early 2010 to deliver this course.
