Papers and presentations from the eDscapes conference - Mapping teachers' professional lives. The conference was held in Wellington from 18-20 April 2011 and brought together a mix of practice-based worshops and inspiring speakers on the themes of leadership, engagement and professional activism.

The Issues and Organising Seminar is held at the end of February every year. This seminar for PPTA activists includes presentations from visiting speakers.
(April 2014) PPTA invites nominations for the Information Communications and Technology (ICT) Advisory Committee from members in the regions encompassing Auckland south of the Harbour Bridge and Counties-Manukau (Area 2). The selection of an Area 2 rep will be made by the president, general secretary and the executive members of the committee.
(March 2014) This booklet is addressed to all secondary school principals, PPTA branches, regional co-ordinators and the National Organising Komiti. It contains background information
about organising the 2014 speech contests at school and regional levels, information
relating to the national finals and a check-list of key dates and contact addresses.
The national secondary speech contests are now entering their 49th year and the national
finals this year will be hosted by Te Matau a Māui Māori Teachers Incorporated at the
Pettigrew Green Arena, 480 Gloucester Street, Taradale, Hawke’s Bay on Tuesday 23,
Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 September 2014.

PPTA is calling for nominations for one vacant position in Area 4 (Waikato and Central Plateau) on PPTA’s Senior Positions Advisory Committee, which provides advice to the PPTA executive on matters affecting those in senior management positions in secondary and area schools.
Those eligible for the committee are PPTA members who are senior managers with school-wide responsibilities regardless of units held. (This means staff in the roles of assistant, deputy or associate principal.) The term of office is the two years 2014 and 2015.
