Christmas greetings from Kate Gainsford (PPTA president elect) |
The summer brings the well-earned break for all of us. I hope a Merry Christmas is enjoyed by all. After spending a good bit of the Christmas holidays in the Nelson and Northland areas with family in-laws and outlaws I will begin my term with a visit to Melbourne to represent NZ secondary teachers at the Australian Education Union (AEU ) conference. After that it will be straight into it back in Wellington.
I am looking forward to the interesting and stimulating times ahead of us in the new year. We have a formidable lineup at the Executive table and there is no doubt your representatives will be stepping up to meet the challenges on both professional and industrial fronts. I am keen to set up visits to regions and branches to support the efforts of our members as they engage in this work. |
