Search
To search the general web pages on the site use the search box http://www.ppta.org.nz/index.php/search/ The easiest way to find published documents (usually available in pdf format) is to use the search documents form which will search the document library. If you want to see all the documents in a particular category enter a $ sign in the keyword field (make sure you are searching"any words" though. By logging in to the site you will also be able to search all the "members only" documents from the one search facility. Collective Agreements - in this section of the website you will find information about your terms and conditions of employment, including salary (see remuneration clause in appropriate collective agreement - most secondary teachers are covered by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement (STCA)), health and safety, hours of work, and class size. These terms and conditions are set out both in collective agreements and in legislation. The Notices page will give you a quick update on topical issues. The document library with terms and conditions of employment material for download can also be accessed from Collective agreements.
Resources, publications, documents
Resources - is where most of PPTA published material (PPTA News and newsletters, research, submissions, media releases) can be located for download (the document library) but we are adding html pages to this section including daily education headlines. Issues
Issues in education is where you will find the topics PPTA chose to emphasise as issues of importance to the incoming National Government (2008). Some of these, such as Pay and Employment Equity (PAEE) have been expanded as the issue develops. Membership
Membership, these pages provide information about the benefits and costs of belonging to PPTA. The membership application forms can be downloaded in pdf form (we will be uploading online forms in the near future). Events
Events, the Events section contains a calendar of events (searchable) as well as links to seminars, conferences, employment related education (Mahi Tika), regional events, and other professional learning opportunities. The events section is also where you will find study awards, grants and sabbatical information. Communities
Communities is where active PPTA groups and representatives provide changing content and news. Check out the PPTA president's page and the ICT taskforce for examples. Have your say
