PPTA is the voice of the post-primary teaching profession.  For more than 50 years PPTA members have worked in schools and nationally to  ensure all young people in New Zealand have equitable access to good quality state education.

Join us and participate in a range of debates shaping our education system.

Trainee teachers are entitled to free membership of the PPTA and can join online. Teacher trainee members do not have voting rights and cannot act as delegates.

PPTA provides ongoing advice, guidance and advocacy for members about their conditions of employment. As a PPTA member you will enjoy

Leaving teaching?

You can retain PPTA membership as an honorary member, the subscription for this is $50p.a. (for which you would be invoiced) and this enables you to remain a member of EBS Healthcare.
