Through its internal and external publications PPTA advocates for the importance of a high quality state-funded public education system that supports New Zealand's ethnically and culturally diverse schools and the teachers in them to maximise the learning of all young New Zealanders. The Collective News is emailed to branches regularly and copies can be accessed by members logging in to this website. PPTA press releases respond to current events and attempt to attract media coverage of crucial issues in education. This collection of documents includes reports, guidance and advice, PPTA submissions, PPTA research and the Annual Report of PPTA. PPTA publishes on a variety of topics in education and has a programme of undertaking and publishing research in areas of concern and interest to members. This research informs PPTA policy work.
