Papers and presentations from the eDscapes conference - Mapping teachers' professional lives. The conference was held in Wellington from 18-20 April 2011 and brought together a mix of practice-based worshops and inspiring speakers on the themes of leadership, engagement and professional activism.
The Issues and Organising Seminar is held at the end of February every year. This seminar for PPTA activists includes presentations from visiting speakers.
(April 2013) Union Women Leading is the theme of the 2013 CTU Biennial Women’s Conference on the 26th 27th July in Wellington
(14 March 2013) The national secondary speech contests are now entering their 48th year and the nationalfinals this year will be hosted by the Tainui Teachers Committee, at the Mystery Creek Events Centre, Gate 2, 125 Mystery Creek Road, Hamilton on Tuesday 24, Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 September 2013. The contests are intended to encourage the development of skills and confidence of Mäori students in spoken English and Mäori. NZ PPTA cordially extend an invitation to all secondary schools to participate in this important annual event, noting that the Mäori section is open to all students, but the English section is confined to Mäori students only.
