Would you like to be a member of PPTA’s Guidance Counsellor Taskforce?
Executive is seeking expressions of interest from members who would like to fill one of four vacancies on the new Guidance Counsellor Taskforce. The taskforce is being formed to prepare a paper for conference looking at the staffing of guidance counsellor positions.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BE A PPTA REPRESENTATIVE?
- Full membership of PPTA
- Be employed as a guidance counsellor in a school, either holding a LAT or a practising certificate
- Be able to get release from your school to attend meetings of the Taskforce (TRD will be paid if needed). There is likely to be just one meeting initially, followed by some work online
The PPTA president and general secretary have been delegated by the Executive the task of assessing the self-nomination forms and selecting the people who can make the best contribution to the work of the taskforce. The taskforce will contain at least one person holding a LAT and one person holding a practising certificate.
Members wishing to be considered for the Guidance Counsellor Taskforce should complete the this form by 5pm on Friday March 29. If you want to talk about the position with someone, contact Kirsty by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or phone (04-913 4242 or 021-813 527).
