Blue September with Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ

Tackle prostate cancer together

As part of Blue September, the month of prostate health awareness, men aged 40 to 60 are encouraged to have an annual prostate health check. If caught early, prostate cancer is fully curable. But if caught late, it can lead to prolonged illness and an early death.

The prostate health check involves a simple blood test to detect the level of Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) and sometimes a simple physical examination. So, if you are a man in your 40s, 50s or 60s, don’t wait. Have an annual prostate check-up with your doctor. It might save your life.
