Call for nominations for Te Huarahi Māori Motuhake 2026-27

Members on the Māori electoral roll are hereby notified that, in accordance with the Rule 75(ii) of the Constitution, nominations are invited for membership of Te Huarahi Māori Motuhake for the year 2026-2027. Any full member on PPTA’s Māori electoral roll is eligible for nomination provided that they are employed within the iwi geographical area for which they are nominated.
Te Huarahi Māori Motuhake (THMM) is a group that works alongside the PPTA Executive to formulate policy that concerns Māori kaiako and ākonga. They also organise the annual Māori Teachers’ conference. Members of THMM gain valuable PLD by attending PPTA conferences and sitting on Executive committees at no cost.
If you would like to make a difference to kaiako Māori, nomination forms are available on our website.
If you have any questions, please contact the Pou Ārahi Matua as the returning officer at ROfficer@ppta.org.nz.
Nominations will close on Friday 10 October 2025.
