E ngā mana, e ngā reo, e ngā karangatanga maha o ngā tīpuna, tēna koutou i roto i ngā huringa o te wā,
Ki te hunga kua wehe nei i te whitiki o mauriora, e hinga mokemoke nei i te mate weriweri, e rērere ana ao pō, ao pō, ki tēna pito, ki tēna pito.
Haere rā e ngā mate kia pōwhiringia e te rau aroha, mā kōtuku rerenga tahi koutou e ārahi ki te ahurewa tapu o Io.
Mihi kau ake ki ngā whānau kua māhue muri nei, tangi wēwēhe ai i ō tātou mate hūhua.
Tēnā koutou katoa e whakarauika mai nei i runga i te whakaaro kotahi, ki tō tātou kaupapa e tau nei, ko Ngā Manu Kōrero.

The National Committee of Ngā Manu Kōrero is pleased to announce that the 61st annual Ngā Whakataetae Mō Ngā Manu Kōrero will take place this year on Tuesday 22 – Thursday 24 September at Papa Hawaiki in Kaikohe.
It will be hosted by the Tai Tokerau rohe.
