PPTA Te Wehengarua employs a variety of staff including field officers, the mataroa, a membership education coordinator, advisory officers (including the media team, the women's officer, and the āpiha Māori) and staff members who are employed to manage PPTA's financial, communication, membership and clerical needs.

Middle Leadership Advisory Committee – call for nominations in Area 3: Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland – Western and Northern wards
Nominations are called for a position on PPTA’s Middle Leadership Advisory Committee in Area 3: Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland – Western and Northern wards (Tāmaki ki te Hauāuru and Te Rakipaewhenua).
The Committee provides advice to the executive on matters affecting those in middle leadership positions in secondary and area schools. Middle leadership refers to curriculum leadership or pastoral care leadership: heads of department, deans, teachers-in-charge and guidance leaders.
In your nomination please state what units you have, and what your responsibilities are in terms of leadership of others. We will use this information to structure a balanced committee.
The committee meets two times a year in Wellington. The term of office is the two years 2019 and 2020.
