Picket for Pay Equity
Monday 2 March - Sunday 8 March
Working Women’s Week | 2–8 March - a nationwide week of action for pay equity.
- We’re encouraging members to host public-facing pickets to highlight pay equity in our communities. This is an opportunity to use the picket skills that we have to tautoko the fight for pay equity for workers across the country.
- Can’t hold a picket? Consider having another event in your branch to celebrate Working Women’s Week and to learn more about pay equity. Some activities could be a Wear Purple Day, a voter enrolment activity, or taking the Pay Equity Pledge.
- Events are happening throughout the week. Check out the CTU website for more activities here: https://www.together.org.nz/working_women_s_week_2026
