Women in Secondary Educational Leadership Programme
The Pūtea Whakawhanake Pouako | PPTA Learning and Development Centre, in partnership with Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington, is proud to deliver a course to develop the capability of women leaders in secondary education. The course is free for post-primary kaiako to attend, and is fully funded by the Ministry of Education.

Programme overview
This programme is for wāhine working in middle leadership roles who want to explore more about themselves and their own leadership style; interrogate the challenges specifically impacting wāhine in these roles; and learn how to become authentic leaders who reflect their own values.
Programme format
This programme will be delivered over 10 weeks and include:
- One face-to-face workshop
- Four 1.5 hour webinars (after school from 4.00pm to 5.30pm)
- An online learning portal with a range of supporting resources and reflection tools
